Daybook

Brief: Design a personalised daybook for a fellow graphic designer, Alexis Sundara, SA student from US.

Concept: “Choose the books what you want to use today.”

Solution: Planner + sketchbook + event.
Pocket size daybook separated by each month and sketchbook to avoid carrying heavy notebook. Tie books together with rubber band. He can bring a daybook or few books as many he wants. Package box can be used to contain rest of the book not bring and keep it home.
Rubber band is simple and easy and economical.
Event information guide at the bottom on everyday page to keep remind not to miss.

Alternative idea: using magnet to tie together.
Problem: Strong magnet is stick well but, too heavy to carry. –> Magnet paper is not heavy but not strong enough to be tied. And it is not sustainable and not economical for notebook.

About user: Alexis, he is SA student, new to London. Visiting many design studios during staying London. Dreaming of T-shirts design someday. He wants a daybook which is small and light enough to be easily carried.
